🌱 Lawn Aeration & Dethatching

Why It’s Important
Grass roots need access to oxygen, water, and nutrients to thrive. Over time, foot traffic, rainfall, and soil settling cause compaction, making it harder for roots to grow deeply. At the same time, thatch — a dense layer of dead stems and debris — builds up above the soil. While a little thatch can protect roots, too much suffocates grass, locks out water, and fosters disease. Lawns that are never aerated or dethatched often appear dull, thin, and weak, no matter how much water or fertilizer they receive. Without relief, they become vulnerable to weeds, insects, and drought stress.
What We Do
We use professional-grade aeration equipment to remove small plugs of soil, opening thousands of channels for air, water, and nutrients to penetrate the root zone. This relieves compaction and stimulates stronger root development. Our dethatching service clears the thick debris layer that prevents new shoots from sprouting. Together, these treatments give grass a complete reset, improving color, density, and resilience. We recommend aeration at least once per year, typically in spring or fall when grass is actively growing. The result is turf that looks greener, feels softer underfoot, and is far better equipped to handle stress from heat, foot traffic, or pests.
