❄️ Final Mowing & Edging
Before Winter

Why It’s Important
Many homeowners underestimate the importance of preparing their lawn for dormancy. Leaving grass too long increases the risk of snow mold, while cutting it too short exposes roots to freezing temperatures and damage. A final, properly timed mow ensures the lawn enters winter in a stable condition. Clean edging keeps property lines and garden beds neat through months when growth slows down. Without this step, lawns often emerge in spring weak, uneven, or infected with disease, requiring costly restoration instead of a smooth seasonal transition.
What We Do
Our final mow and edging service is performed late in the season when grass growth slows but before the first heavy snowfall. We cut grass to the ideal height for winter survival — short enough to prevent matting, but long enough to shield roots. Precise edging around driveways, sidewalks, and garden beds maintains a clean, finished appearance even after snow arrives. By clearing clippings and debris at the same time, we reduce the chance of mold or fungus spreading beneath snow cover. This last touch of maintenance ensures your lawn rests properly through winter and greens up faster when spring returns.
